Rhonda Walls is a partner at Sowell, Alvares & Walls, PLLC and handles the firm’s estate planning and probate practices which include preparing wills, trusts, powers of attorney and directives to physicans. Rhonda Walls practices in all areas of litigation, including trials and appeals, with a focus on contracts and other business litigation, and employment law.
Rhonda’s litigation practice includes commerical, construction, contract and real estate litigation. She has extenisve courtroom and appellate experience in commerical litigation including representation of various companies, general contractors and subcontractors, business owners, and individuals in business and real estate disputes.
Rhonda’ employment practice includes employment related litigation, including wrongful discharge, discrimination, sexual harassment, worker’s compensation, Family and Medical Leave Act Issues, and Fair Labor Standards Act issues. As part of her practice, Rhonda counsels clients on a broad range of employment and personnel issues, and has represented clients before a number of administrative agencies, including the United States Department of Labor, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Texas Commission on Human Rights, the Texas Workforce Commission.
Rhonda attended Texas A&M University, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Polical Science in 1991, and South Texas College of Law, receiving a law degree in 1994. Rhonda is licensed to practice in all state courts in Texas, as well as before the U.S. Court of Appeals. Rhonda is a member of the Rotary Club of Katy and the Fort Bend Bar Association.
