Robin Sowell manages the firm’s family law section which handles divorce, custody disputes, child support and adoptions. Robin Sowell practices in the areas of health law, corporate transactional law and complex business and general litigation in both State and Federal Courts.
Robin’s corporate transactional practice includes entity structure and formation, mergers and acquisitions, and commerical real estate transactions. Robin’s litigation practice includes representation of businesses and individuals in various commercial disputes including breach of contract, fraud, securities fraud, business torts, and employment matters.
Robin’s health law practice includes represnting physicans, medical groups, and other health care entities with practice establishment and structure, practice management, development and contracting issues, merger and acquisition, litiagtion matters, and employment related issues. Robin also advises clients regarding regulatory compliance issues including fraud and abuse, STARK, HIPAA, peer review and quality assurance matters, and licensing issues.
Robin has been practicing law since 1994 and is licensed to practice in all state courts in Texas as well as before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas. Robin graduated Phi Kappa Phi from the Wichita State University with a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude in 1990, and received her law degree from South Texas College of Law in 1994. Robin is a member of the State Bar of Texas, American Health Lawyers Association and Fort Bend Bar Association.
